On 26-28 January 2026 ChemStream will attend the Advanced INKJET Technology conference in Fribourg (Switzerland) for the second time. We will be Exhibitor as well as Speaker.

In fact, co-owner of ChemStream, Geert Deroover, will talk about the use of Molecular Modeling and QSPR (Quantitative Structure-Property Relationship) methodologies to optimize the composition of inkjet inks.

The core of the approach includes:

  • Bridging scales: connecting interactions at the molecular level (pigment-dispersant associations, surfactant adsorption) with macroscopic properties (ink stability, wetting behavior, interaction with the substrate).

  • Advanced simulation: using advanced simulation techniques to understand the complex interaction between pigments, dispersants, surfactants and solvents.

  • Predictive design: Using QSPR and predictive mesoscale modeling to rationally design new formulations, reducing traditional empirical trial-and-error methods and accelerating innovation in inkjet technology.

In short, the lecture will describe how ChemStream applies computational chemistry and data-driven modelling to fundamentally understand and improve the chemistry of ink.
